Blessings to you!
I am delighted that you have discovered our website, and hope that you also will be led to discover our faith community.
At San Gabriel the Archangel Episcopal Church, we laugh often and we care seriously. We are a vibrant, thriving, progressive community that values the traditional liturgy of the Book of Common Prayer, as well as innovative ways to grow together spiritually. We were founded in late 2005 as a mission church by twelve faithful women and men from St. Michael and All Angels parish in Albuquerque.
For many, it has been a place of renewal, healing past troubled experiences with the institutional church. Others have been drawn by the full, loving invitation to the Eucharistic table, offered to all. Though we are a small congregation, we are big enough to embrace a diversity of people.
As a community of faith, we affirm that we:
- do outreach, responding to the needs of the wider community, before inreach for our own.
- call ourselves to share our time, talents and treasures so that God’s ministries may flourish.
Join us for Sunday worship that includes the Liturgy of the Word and Holy Communion. Our Wednesday Evening Programs include services with anointing for healing for oneself and the world, contemplative prayer, and lively teachings and discussions. Enroll in our Icon Guild to learn an ancient way of prayer. Ride your horse to church and tie up at our hitching post.
Help us with hands-on outreach projects, focused especially on our homeless neighbors. Join us as we imagine and discern how best to use our new Mission Hall to serve God and God’s people. Challenge us with ideas for ministry that we haven’t even thought of yet!
Whoever you are, wherever you are in your spiritual journey, come and find joy with us in the abundant love of Jesus our Savior,
