Community Yard Sale, October 2012

NEWS: $3,022.25 (more than double our goal) was raised at the Community Yard Sale and Raffle–plus, two trailer loads of items were taken to the Disabled American Vets at the end of the day to furnish apartments for veterans who have been homeless.  On Saturday, 1 December, at the Guild Theatre, the proceeds of our community yard sale and raffle were publicly presented by San Gabriel representatives to Albuquerque Heading Home to assist with the transition of a young man from homelessness to a permanent home.

Countless beautiful-souled volunteers, led by Ms. Energy Teresa Leberknight, made it all happen.  It was a joyful time of shared ministry, deepening fellowship, and honoring our commitment to outreach. PDF copy of the sale brochure here.

Labyrinth Guild

Our former labyrinth

Our former labyrinth

As greatly as we rejoice in our new church home, the lot does not, alas, include space for our labyrinth. On our move, we gathered all the stones into buckets, where they will stay, until somehow someday, they will again be ordered into a sacred path for healing and meditation.
