As a parochial mission of St. Michael & All Angels Episcopal Church, San Gabriel the Archangel is ultimately governed by St. Michael’s rector and vestry. However, our day-to-day operations are overseen by the Vicar and members of the Mission Council. Members of the Council are recommended by the Vicar to St. Michael’s rector, who then officially appoints them for a one-year term, which can be repeated. The lay leader of the Council (“the Vicar’s Warden”) and the Treasurer are appointed by the Vicar.
